Closing your account hides your profile, pauses services and cancels membership. You must complete or cancel future bookings first, and all held funds are paid out as normal.

Settings tabs. Each tab is a route (/dashboard/settings/[tab]). Unsaved changes prompt: "You have unsaved changes. Leave without saving?". Event: settings_saved with section.
Account. Email change requires confirmation link to the new address and re-entry of password. Profile URL slug can be changed once every 90 days; old URL redirects 301. Validation inline: "Enter a UK mobile number", "That web address is taken". Two-step login via authenticator app or SMS.
Notifications. Matrix of event by channel; defaults shown. Mandatory transactional emails locked on. SMS opt-in requires verified mobile and consent. Digest timing and quiet hours (22:00-07:00) below the table (not drawn). Ties to job alerts in Jobs board.
Team members. Owner invites assistants or admins. Roles: Owner (all), Assistant teacher (can be assigned to bookings, listed on the profile only after Popdance reviews their ID and DBS evidence where relevant), Admin (bookings and messages, no payouts or bank details). Seat limit depends on plan. Invites expire after 7 days.
Documents. Summary of items from Verification with expiry tracking. Reminders at 30 and 7 days before expiry; expired insurance hides the Insurance Verified badge and pauses instant booking. Privacy: documents never shown publicly.
Safeguarding policy upload. PDF only, max 10 MB, virus scanned. Popdance staff review it (not a legal endorsement). Optional public line on profile. Template provided for teachers working with children.
Close account. Blocked while there are future bookings, open disputes or negative balance. Once clear: confirmation by typing CLOSE and email link. Data retained as required by finance rules; reviews remain anonymised. Data export is a zipped JSON and CSV. See Privacy.
Mobile
Tabs become a dropdown selector, the two-column form becomes single column, matrices and tables scroll horizontally or become stacked rows, and the checklist card moves to the top.
States
Loading: skeleton form. Save success: toast "Settings saved". Save error: inline "We could not save your changes. Try again." Invite errors: "That email already has a Popdance account". Expired insurance: red banner across the Documents tab. Close account disabled with reasons listed; enabled state shows a final confirmation modal.
