Organisers post jobs from their own account (customer side, noted for build): Schools and corporate multi-quote request can be converted to a job. Posting is free, moderated before going live. 6

Data fields (for developers)

  • Job id, title, type, organiser, venue postcode, distance
  • Pay type (hourly, daily, fixed) and amount
  • Dates, closing date, DBS and insurance requirements
  • Required dance styles and age group
  • Match score, reasons array, missing requirements array
  • Application status and timestamps

Notes

  1. Page header. Tabs for Saved, My applications (statuses: Sent, Viewed, Shortlisted, Declined, Filled) and Job alerts. Jobs are available on all plans; Gold gets a 24 hour early-access window (example benefit) shown as a lock on very new jobs for lower plans.
  2. Filters. Type, postcode plus radius, style, pay, start date, in-person or online, DBS requirement, minimum match score. Default radius is the teacher's travel radius from Availability. Filters stored per teacher and shareable by URL.
  3. Match score (rules-based first, AI later). Score 0-100 shown per job, with plain reasons so it is never a black box. Version 1 is rules-based weights: distance within radius (30), dance style overlap (25), availability on the dates (20), required credentials on file such as DBS, insurance, first aid (15), age group experience (10). Missing credentials show as a warning, not a block. Later version may add an AI ranking using past applications and review themes; always keep the "why it matches" tags. Never use protected characteristics. Scores recompute when profile, services or availability change. Event: job_match_viewed.
  4. Apply modal. Message 20-600 characters, optional rate if the job allows offers, consent to share profile and badges. Validation: "Add a short message of at least 20 characters." Duplicate applications blocked: "You have already applied". Organiser replies arrive in Messages. Jobs arranged here are outside the booking flow, so add a reminder that payment on-platform protects both sides.
  5. Notifications. Triggers: new job above threshold, application viewed or shortlisted, job closing in 48 hours, job filled. Channels: in-app bell, email, optional push. Frequency controls and quiet hours in settings. Unsubscribe link in every email.
  6. Post a job (organiser side). Out of scope for this screen but needed for build: form with type, venue, dates, pay, requirements, closing date; admin or auto moderation before publish; contact details hidden until the organiser replies.

Mobile

Filters move into a bottom sheet behind a Filters button; job cards are single column with the match score as a coloured pill at the top; Apply opens a full-screen form.

States

Empty: "No jobs match yet. Widen your distance or turn off the minimum match filter" and a Create alert button. Loading: skeleton cards. Error: "We could not load jobs" with Retry. Closed or filled jobs show a grey Filled badge and no Apply button. Teachers with incomplete profiles see scores marked "Low confidence" with a link to Profile.
