Data fields (for developers)

  • Review id, booking id, service id, overall rating (1-5), five category ratings, text (max 2,000 characters), photos (max 4), created at, published at
  • Teacher reply text and reply timestamp
  • Status: published, reported, hidden, removed
  • Reviewer display name (first name and initial)
  • Verified booking flag (always true)
  • Report id and outcome

Notes

  1. Page header and Request a review. Button opens a picker of completed bookings without a review; sends email plus in-app invite pointing to Leave a review. Rate limited to one reminder per booking. Teachers cannot offer incentives (guideline text shown in picker).
  2. Score summary. Mean of overall ratings of published reviews only. Links to public profile where reviews carry Review structured data (schema.org) for SEO.
  3. Rating breakdown. Star distribution plus category averages (communication, quality, value, punctuality, as described) matching the form in WF-26. Data source: reviews table aggregated nightly and on publish.
  4. Awaiting review banner. Counts completed bookings between 2 and 30 days old with no review. Hidden when count is 0. Event: review_reminder_sent.
  5. Filters and tabs. Needs a reply is the default for teachers with unreplied reviews. Sort: newest, oldest, highest, lowest. Search matches text and reviewer first name.
  6. Review card. Shows first name and initial only, service, event date, and the Verified booking badge (always present, since no unverified reviews exist). Teachers cannot edit or delete reviews; only reply or report.
  7. Public reply. One reply per review, 500 characters, no contact details or links (validation message: "Replies cannot include phone numbers, emails or links"). Editable for 24 hours, then locked. Profanity filter applies.
  8. Report flow. Reasons: not a real customer, wrong teacher, contains personal data, abusive or discriminatory, other. Creates a case in admin moderation. Teacher is told the outcome by email. Payment is never affected by a review.

Mobile

Summary cards stack, breakdown bars stay full width, filters collapse into a Filter button opening a sheet, review cards are single column with actions in an overflow menu.

States

Empty: "No reviews yet. Reviews appear here after your first completed booking" with a tip about asking happy customers. Loading: skeleton cards. Error: "We could not load your reviews" with Retry. Reply posting: button disabled with spinner; failure shows inline error and keeps the draft. Reported: card shows red outline until a decision is made.
