Notes
- Confirmation hero. Shown only after the payment provider webhook confirms success (not on redirect alone). Personalised with customer first name, teacher name, event type and date. Booking reference format PD-xxxxx. Analytics:
booking_confirmed with value, category, teacher id (fire once; guard against refresh duplicates). noindex.
- Booking summary. Date, time, place, package, add-ons, group, amount paid, payment method and payment status. Status badge values: Confirmed, Pending payment, Payment failed. Receipt PDF generated server-side with VAT detail where applicable. Links to 25-booking-detail-messages.html.
- What happens next. Plain-English timeline mirroring the booking states: confirmed, reminders, delivered, 48 hour issue window, funds released, review invite. Dates are computed from the event date. Teacher's phone number is released only on the event day (reduces off-platform contact).
- Message teacher. First message is posted to the booking thread and notifies the teacher by email and in-app. Max 1000 characters; contact-detail warning as elsewhere. Empty send is disabled. Opens the thread in the booking detail page after sending.
- Cross-sell and content. Light links to inspiration content and search to keep the customer engaged without competing with the primary actions. Content is manually curated per category.
- Teacher card. Photo, name, rating, badges, link to 06-teacher-profile.html. Data from teacher profile record.
- Calendar buttons. Generate an .ics file and a Google Calendar template link with title, start and end, location, booking reference and a link back to the booking. Set a reminder 1 day before. Analytics:
calendar_added with provider.
Mobile
Single column with the teacher card and calendar buttons moving directly under the confirmation hero. Primary button "Go to my bookings" is fixed at the bottom. Timeline list stays as a numbered list.
States
Pending (payment still processing): spinner and "We are confirming your payment. This usually takes a few seconds." with auto-refresh every 3 seconds up to 60 seconds, then a message to check email. Failed: redirect back to 22-checkout.html with error. Revisit later: page remains available to the owner and shows current booking status instead of the celebration copy once the event has passed. Not owner or logged out: redirect to 29-login.html. Error loading: "We could not load your booking, but your payment is safe. Check My bookings or contact support."
