# Popdance marketplace: product spec for sitemap and wireframes

## Concept
One site, **popdance.co.uk**, replaces both Popdance and Dance Teacher Directory (DTD). It becomes "Fiverr for dance": a two-sided marketplace.

- **Customers** (parents, hen parties, brides, schools, companies, care homes, adult class seekers) search, compare dance teachers and their **Services** (packages), message them, book and pay on the platform.
- **Teachers** are independent professionals. Each has a **Profile** (their "shop") and one or more **Services** (like Fiverr gigs), each with up to 3 **packages** (Basic / Standard / Premium) plus optional add-ons and a "request a custom quote" route.
- **Popdance** takes payment, holds the money until the session is delivered, then pays the teacher minus commission. Popdance is the platform, not the service provider (liability sits with the teacher via the terms; legal review pending).
- Reviews only from verified completed bookings. Teacher payment never depends on review.
- UK first. US later via PopdanceWorld.com (same codebase, region switcher UK/US, local currency, local legal text). Wireframes show a region pill in the header.
- DTD domain 301-redirects into the teacher area (/teachers). Old DTD profiles map to new Popdance teacher profiles.

## Revenue (all figures ILLUSTRATIVE, mark as "example" in wireframes)
- Membership: Founding Member (free, limited time) / Bronze GBP 5 per month / Silver GBP 9 per month / Gold GBP 30 per month.
- Booking commission, example tiered: Founding 15%, Bronze 12%, Silver 10%, Gold 8%. (Alternative to test: flat GBP 5 per month + 15%.)
- Gold adds the Popdance choreography library, party/workshop formats, templates.
- Optional: featured profile placements (clearly labelled "Sponsored").

## Categories (customer-facing "experiences")
Priority 5: Children's birthday parties, Hen parties and adult celebrations, Schools and after-school clubs, Wedding dance lessons, Corporate workshops and team-building.
Secondary: Regular classes (kids and adults), Holiday camps and workshops, Older adults and community (care homes), Toddler/preschool.
Filters: location/postcode, event type, age group, dance style, date/availability, in-person/online, travel distance, group size, price range, accessibility, verified badges, rating.

## Core booking flow (states)
1. Customer finds Service or Teacher.
2. **Instant book** (fixed package, teacher has availability) or **Request** (date, place, group size, age, notes). Customer can also send a general request to several teachers.
3. Teacher replies with an **Offer** (accept as listed, or custom price/add-ons). Messaging thread attached to the booking.
4. Customer reviews offer and **pays**. Funds are HELD by Popdance (marketplace payments provider, e.g. Stripe Connect).
5. Booking **confirmed**; both see details, calendar invite.
6. Session delivered. Teacher marks **complete** (or auto-complete 48 hours after the event).
7. Customer has 48 hours to raise an issue; otherwise funds **released** (payout schedule shown to teacher).
8. Customer invited to leave a verified **review**.
Branches: cancellation (policy shown at checkout), teacher decline/expiry of request (48h), dispute (admin mediates), refund.

## Trust and verification (badges, each with a defined meaning)
Identity Checked, Qualifications Reviewed, Insurance Verified, DBS Evidence Reviewed (only where role requires), Verified Booking Reviews, Popdance Member. Public profile shows status and date checked, never the documents. Page "Trust and safety" explains what Popdance verifies and what stays the teacher's responsibility.

## Roles
- **Visitor / Customer**: browse, search, book, message, review, manage bookings.
- **Teacher**: onboarding, verification, profile, services/packages, availability, requests/offers, bookings, earnings/payouts, reviews, membership, jobs board, resources, community.
- **Admin (Popdance staff)**: teacher approval queue, bookings and disputes, payouts and finance, categories and content, review moderation and reports.

## Content and SEO structure
Landing pages by category and by location (genuinely useful, not duplicated text). Blog/inspiration articles that funnel to category/search. Redirect map from old Popdance and DTD URLs. Structured data on teacher profiles, services, reviews.

## Wireframe conventions
- Low-fidelity HTML, greyscale, shared stylesheet `wireframes/assets/wireframe.css`. Page boilerplate: `wireframes/assets/_template.html`. Header/footer/sidebars: `wireframes/assets/_partials.html` (copy verbatim).
- Link cross-page using the exact filenames in the page list below, so the prototype is clickable.
- Image placeholders use `.img`. Use realistic UK labels and plausible copy (a headline and short supporting lines), not lorem ipsum. Money in GBP, marked as example.
- Each page: meta strip, annotated body with numbered markers `<span class="n">1</span>`, a Notes block (numbered, matching markers), then a Mobile paragraph and a States paragraph (empty/loading/error/logged-out as relevant). Annotate: purpose, data source, interactions, validation, SEO notes, analytics events where useful.
- Be thorough: show every section a developer needs to build (all fields, filters, sort, empty states in notes, error text, microcopy for key buttons). Aim for 120 to 300 lines of HTML per page. Dashboards use `<div class="app">` with the right sidebar and `<div class="main">`.
- British English. No lorem ipsum. No emojis other than the few in the partials. Do not use the long dash character; use a hyphen or rewrite.
